RESI Innsbruck

Supporting researchers from the University of Innsbruck on their career path inside and outside from academia.

We believe that our researchers from the University of Innsbruck make a significant impact by contributing their skills and expertise to society, helping to create a better world.

To support their development, we offer workshops, courses, and various opportunities to enhance their abilities and broaden their horizons. We also provide guidance to help our researchers plan their future careers, whether within academia or beyond. Through collaboration with the Inncubator team, we assist in turning research or business ideas into reality, fostering entrepreneurial skills along the way. We cultivate a strong sense of community and grant access to both national and international networks, including the P2i network in partnership with prestigious universities such as Cambridge, PSL, Edinburgh, and Duisburg-Essen (a member of the Aurora Alliance).

Expand your thinking and
become part of the community

The number of academic positions at universities has grown over the past years. However, tenure positions have not increased accordingly and long-term academic careers are now the exceptions, not the norm. The RESI network enables early career researchers (advanced PhDs and Post Docs) to engage in a range of activities matched to their interests and needs. Network members are connected with other researchers, industrial contacts, entrepreneurs, and academics with experience in founding their own company.

With the workshops and meetings organized by the RESI network researchers get the chance to enhance their entrepreneurial mindset, gain a key set of personal and professional skills for their careers, and meet likeminded researchers from University of Innsbruck.

Strong International
Partners for RESI

RESI is part of the p2i (postdocs2innovators) network. The aim of this network is to offer education at the very early stages of the entrepreneurial life cycle with a particular focus on changing mindsets of researchers and developing a vital know-how to transform ideas into positive results, all with the aim of supporting researchers in many different career paths. The major aim is that those who engage with p2i come away with a clear understanding of the importance of the entrepreneurial mindset and its impact on a successful future regardless of their career trajectory.
